Jacob grew up in northeast Ohio where he found a love for the great outdoors. With that, came the realization that we as a culture need to be better stewards of the earth. He figured the most important thing we could do was use the resources right in our backyards. Solar topped the list of resources that Jacob saw as underused.

He began his journey as a solar professional studying renewable energy at Palm Beach State College and attending trade schools on solar installation in south Florida., he traveled back to his home state of Ohio were he found work with a commercial solar company. After a few years here and earning NABCEP professional certification, he uprooted to Asheville North Carolina where he found work with a local solar company. Here, he continued to manage and install solar projects for residential and light commercial applications. All the while he was studying to earn his electrical license. It wasn’t long after earning his electrical license that Rhino Renewables was born along with his first baby boy!

With the motivation of being a new father, Rhino Renewables did what it took to get off the ground, offering electrical and solar services of all kinds. Rhino Renewables is now an established turnkey solar installer and electrical contractor that prides itself on education based sales and providing ease of mind to our clients.

 You can find Jacob and his family hiking to a favorite swim hole or finding a great view on the weekends. Time in nature is their favorite!
